Garrett Nickelsen:
The making of Pioneer has been the most rewarding time of my life. I remember being so unsure of what was going to happen with our band. I would have mini panic attacks trying to figure out if what we were doing was the right path. It sure wasn’t the easiest time of my life… The corporate business men who we had never met were trying to control something they had nothing to do with creating. It was a constant battle for over a year. There was one day in July of 2011 I really believed we could have stopped being a band. All the built up anger and frustration almost led us to a dead end but the only thing that got us through it was all of you.  Even on the darkest day we knew we were fighting for something. Fighting for the people who really matter. Everyone who found us six years ago on MySpace, or stumbled on a song via YouTube or however you found us. We are fighting for the people who stand outside our shows waiting to have a quick conversation and a hug. We are fighting for anyone who gave us a chance. We are forever in debt to every single one of you. You gave The Maine back it’s heartbeat, it’s soul. Im confident now more than ever that our heart is not stopping anytime soon. The Maine is not just Pat, John, Kennedy, Jared, and myself. It is all of you. All of us together. It’s a group of people that all support each other through the good and bad. Finding friends along the way to help all of us down this crazy path we call life. It’s not always easy but most of the time, easy is not the right path to take. With all the support we give each other, you’ll always know that we will never go down the path alone… because you’ll have the Maine family to be your backbone.
Thank you for your love and support We are ALL The Maine.
